Tracey Ashton

Tracey became part of the secretarial team in 2004. Her outgoing personality and organisational skills quickly became apparent and she was put in charge of arranging the office Christmas party. She also organises charity events in the office to raise funds to improve the lives of people with Cystic Fibrosis.


Sandra Barrett, MAAT

Sandra joined Gane Jackson Scott as a trainee in 1990. Her qualification as an accounting technician makes her ideally suited to act as small business manager. She has acquired a considerable knowledge of computerised accounts programmes including Sage, TAS and Quicken.


John Best, CAT

John joined Graham O'Malley in 1983 and became part of Gane Jackson Scott in 1995. In addition to the preparation of accounts for all types of businesses John advises clients on the Construction Industry Tax Scheme, PAYE compliance and other statutory returns. John became a Certified Accounting Technician in 2002.


Tina Brown

Tina manages the payroll department and advises clients on matters connected with employment and payroll management.


David Church, FCCA - Partner

David qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 1975 and became a partner in 1976. He deals with all types of clients and, amongst other disciplines, has in-depth knowledge of medical practices, clubs, insurance brokers, inheritance tax and troncs. David's knowledge of computers and information technology is a great asset to the partnership and its clients.


David Coale

We were delighted to welcome David on board in 2005. David administers a portfolio of clients and looks after their VAT, accounts and bookkeeping services. He has an eye for detail and a dry sense of humour which is not surprising given the fact that he is a West Ham season ticket holder.


Jo Courtney

Jo has been part of the Gane Jackson Scott secretarial team since 2002. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail make her a hit with clients and staff alike and in our opinion she is the best accounts typist money can buy.


Anna Day DipM

Anna started with the practice in 2006 and deals with company secretarial matters including the online formation of new companies, share issues and making sure that all statutory returns are filed on time.


Robert Day, CAT

Robert joined Gane Jackson Scott from a major clearing bank and helps to assist clients with raising finance and preparing business plans. He also assists with the preparation of accounts and bookkeeping services. Robert became a Certified Accounting Technician in 2002.

Malcolm Dewhurst, FCCA - Partner

Malcolm started training with Gane Jackson Scott in 1976. He qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 1982, and became a partner in 1985. Malcolm takes great pleasure in nurturing small businesses and watching them flourish and grow.


Marion Dewhurst

Marion joined Gane Jackson Scott as an audit clerk in 1984. However, her organisational and management skills were quickly spotted and when she returned to work after a break to raise her son Simon, she was engaged to look after the firm's bookkeeping and administration.


Ian Dorren

Ian joined Gane Jackson Scott in August 2001. He immediately impressed everyone with his football knowledge by leaping to the top of the GJS fantasy league!


Richard Ensor, MAAT

In addition to his audit and accounting skills Richard assists clients to prepare business plans, cash flow forecasts and corporate C.V.'s. Richard's extensive knowledge of the Sage and Pegasus accounting software suites enables him to assist clients' in setting up financial information and reporting systems.


Neil Fraser FCCA

Having qualified with a local firm Neil joined Gane Jackson Scott in 2001. He specialises in audit with particular expertise in insurance brokers, charities and pension schemes.


Stephen Hayzelden

Stephen was recruited into the tax department in November 2000. Having worked in tax for over 25 years for, amongst others, Neville Russell and Ernst & Young, Stephen's experience is wide ranging and covers technical, compliance and planning work.


Joan Impey

In addition to preparing accounts, Joan deals with client bookkeeping, payroll and preparation of VAT returns.


Graham O'Malley, FCA, ATII, FCCA - Partner

Articled to a firm of chartered accountants in 1971, Graham qualified as a chartered accountant in 1975. He then specialised in tax and qualified with the Chartered Institute of Tax in 1977. In 1979 he started his own practice which merged with Gane Jackson Scott in 1995. He now specialises in taxation and advising owner-managed businesses.


Kathryn Sullivan

We recognised Kathryn's qualities and were happy to employ her in the secretarial department a second time round in 1991 after she had a career break to raise her children.


Paul Thain, FCCA, BA (Hons) - Partner

Paul qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1999 having joined as a trainee in 1997. In addition to providing audit and accountancy services, Paul prepares management accounts on behalf of clients. In 2009 Paul became the third person in the firm to join as a trainee and progress to become a partner in the practice.
